A few years ago I needed an easy way to stay hydrated.  My doctor said I was to drink more water; it would help clear my mind and activate my metabolism.  I was never very successful in drinking enough water before and searching online didn't reveal any suitable aids so I had to make my own.     I attached the cord around the finger loop of my water bottle and pulled a bead up when I filled up my bottle.    

Before my Counting Cord I would keep a water bottle full on my desk all day and forget to drink it.  With the Counting Cord I can see that I had only filled it up once or twice and it was time to drink.  And yes!   It really works!   

You can attach it to the finger loop of a refillable water bottle.   My favorite is a STANLEY water bottle.   It keeps my water at the perfect temperature and has a place to keep my Counting Cord.
